Lookdev Supervisor (Surface & Texturing 3D)

As our Lookdev Supervisor, you will be the technical and artistic leader responsible for bringing the most spectacular visual details of our productions to life through surfacing and texturing.

• Your mission will be to lead the Lookdev team to create high-quality surfaces and textures.

• Develop and maintain the Lookdev pipeline, creating master materials and shading networks to streamline the team's workflow.

• Interpret the Director's vision and translate it into actionable tasks for the Surfacing and Texturing team, ensuring visual consistency.

• Guide and support the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

• Ensure all assets are optimized for the lighting and rendering stages, maintaining a balance between visual complexity and render times.

• Calibrate the artistic quality of each shot according to the budget, calculate bids, and ensure perfect optimization for rendering.

• Extensive experience in high-end animation or VFX, with a deep mastery of texturing and shading software (Houdini, Substance and Arnold/RenderMan workflows).

• Proven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and provide constructive, clear feedback.

• Houdini workflow knowledge

• High-level sculpting for animated features

• A methodical approach to problem-solving and pipeline architecture (understanding of ACES, UDIMs, and PBR).

• Excellent interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical departments and creative directors.

• Advanced English is required for this leadership role.
