Quality Assurance Internship

Location: Hybrid (on-site in Barcelona with the possibility of remote work)

Position Overview

As an intern within the Quality Department at ABLE Human Motion, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of innovative robotic medical devices.

You will work closely with the Quality and Engineering teams, gaining hands-on experience in quality management processes, supporting production and engineering activities, and participating in audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality system documentation.

This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the quality and safety of medical robots developed in a fast-growing technology startup, with a real impact on people's mobility and independence.

Key Responsabilities

• Support the Quality team in ensuring that our growing portfolio of medical robots is designed, manufactured, and maintained according to established quality and safety standards.
• Participate in projects related to the improvement and maintenance of the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 13485.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve processes and solve quality-related issues.
• Support the management and review of non-conformities, corrective actions, and changes.
• Monitor and analyse quality metrics to assess process effectiveness.
• Support the preparation and execution of internal and external audits.
• Collaborate in the creation, update, and management of quality system documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Health Sciences, or other related scientific fields.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good computer skills and proficiency with Office tools (especially Word and Excel).
• Good organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Good level of English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop in the dynamic environment of a medtech startup.

Desirable

• Interest in or knowledge of medical device quality systems (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, MDR).
• Previous experience in regulated or industrial environments.
