About the role

ACCIONA, in its Construction business line, is looking to bring on board a Occupational Risk Prevention Manager for the AMAZON project (Burgo de Ebro, Zaragoza).

Position Description

Mission

  • Provide support to the Project Management team in everything related to safety management.
  • Lead communication with the client regarding H&S matters on the project.
  • Coordinate resources (materials and personnel) for the development of the H&S function.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the health and safety (H&S) system on the project, coordinating H&S matters and initiatives, management indicators (leading and lagging indicators), and KPIs for both the company and the client, as well as ensuring compliance with company objectives, ISO 45001 standards, and client requirements.
  • Collect and manage the project's monthly information, analyzing metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and ensure the effectiveness of implemented action plans. Develop documentation, programs, and procedures in compliance with legal and client requirements.
  • Hold coordination meetings with the client and contractors to monitor the Health and Safety management system. Manage contractor performance and analyze deviations.
  • Actively participate in the development of safety leadership programs and the promotion of a preventive culture. Identify best practices and opportunities for improvement.
  • Verify on-site the implementation and adequacy of the health and safety system, proposing, where applicable, the necessary corrective actions and their closing deadlines, as well as verifying the effectiveness of the proposed actions.
  • Collaborate in the investigation of incidents and non-conformities on the construction site, preparing the relevant reports.
  • Develop and implement the training program.
  • Develop and implement the audit and inspection program for subcontractors.
  • Monitor the implementation of the measures necessary to achieve the Business's H&S objectives.
  • Internal relations with the Project Management team, the Health and Safety Coordinator, and the Business H&S Management.
  • Reporting to the client and the Business H&S Management.

What we're looking for

Candidate requirements

Requirements:

  • Civil/Industrial Engineer or similar.
  • Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL).
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar position.

Nice to have

Required experience areas:

  • Design and implementation of a positive health and safety culture to reduce workplace risks and improve performance in these areas on the project.
  • Ability to drive change by analyzing the client's demand and level of requirements.
  • Knowledge of the construction of Data Centers or similar high-complexity environments with demanding health and safety requirements (offshore, Oil & Gas, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of technological tools for PRL management.
  • Effective communication.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 45001).
