ACCIONA, in its water business, needs to bring an Operations Technician onto its IDAM Oropesa contract, Castellón.

Position Description

What you'll do

The duties of the position are:

In direct contact with the Plant Manager and operations assistants, the following duties and responsibilities will apply:

  • Comply with and observe the installation's health and hygiene standards, as well as occupational risk prevention policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards required for the work to be performed, as well as the mandatory use of the required PPE.
  • Carry out operational maneuvers through the SCADA (start-up, adjustments, and shutdowns of equipment and production or process units).
  • Understand and control the operation of the SCADA (control system).
  • Carry out field operational maneuvers on equipment or process units.
  • Perform any operation task assigned.
  • Take readings, fill in, and interpret O&M data records, as well as fill in and report daily work reports.
  • Collect samples for analysis and parametric measurements in the field or laboratory as assigned.
  • Understand the treatment process and act in response to possible variations from normal operation.
  • Control the operation of the entire installation and supervise the functioning of the plant.
  • Assist maintenance personnel when necessary.
  • Supervise the operational and/or maintenance tasks of the operations assistant.
  • Carry out minor repairs.
  • Perform cleaning tasks for the installation.
  • Any other work that may be required.

For purely indicative purposes, the general allocation or time devoted to the tasks to be performed will be: 40% control and operational maneuvers via the SCADA, 20% operational field tasks, 30% sampling tasks, monitoring of operating parameters, water analysis, and recording of results and totalizers (listed in point 2 above), and 10% conservation and/or maintenance tasks.

Knowledge or vocational training in chemistry, laboratory techniques, electronics, electromechanics, or electricity.
