acens seeks a Second-Level Cybersecurity Analyst Technician for the operation, analysis, investigation, and response to security incidents in client environments and internal platforms.
Second-level Cybersecurity Analyst for the operation, analysis, investigation, and response to security incidents in client environments and internal platforms. Requires solid knowledge in operational cybersecurity, networks, firewalls, EDR/XDR, alert analysis, event correlation, and incident management.
Their main functions and responsibilities will be:
What you'll do
Monitoring, analysis, and triage of security alerts from Fortinet platforms, Microsoft Defender, and other security sources
- Investigation of second-level security incidents, analyzing events, logs, indicators of compromise, endpoint behavior, network traffic, and user activity
- Operational administration of Fortinet solutions: VPN, firewall policies, security profiles, logs, alerts, and events
- Operation of Microsoft Defender solutions: Hunting, triage, tuning, and policy deployment
- Collaboration with the different operations and infrastructure areas
- Scheduled maintenance tasks during low-impact hours, generally outside working hours
- Non-onsite on-call shifts to cover 24×7 service
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in similar positions
- Deep knowledge of defensive cybersecurity and security operations
- Experience in analysis, triage, and investigation of security alerts
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems from a security standpoint (processes, services, logs, users, permissions, connections, etc.)
- Network knowledge: TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, NAT, VPN, and common Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SSH)
- Experience in firewall administration and operation, preferably Fortinet FortiGate
- Experience in managing Microsoft Defender XDR.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, or similar SIEM solutions
- Knowledge of M365 Security (EntraID, users, groups, Conditional Access...)
- Advanced network knowledge: VLAN, routing, Firewall, VPN, service load balancing
