About the role

A leading company in the automotive sector, located in Valls (Tarragona), is looking for a Junior Buyer to join its team. If you are passionate about procurement management, negotiating with suppliers, and teamwork, this is your opportunity!

What you'll do

Some of your responsibilities will be:

-Manage and optimize the total acquisition cost (landed cost) of components for new programs and RFQ processes.

-Monitor the Program Cost Roadmap to control pre-SOP and LSA cost reductions, ensuring the achievement of Procurement's financial objectives.

-Meet the Procurement metrics of the program to ensure a successful project launch, including Sourcings, Blanket Orders, and Supplier Reviews.

-Provide program data to Commodity Purchasing to support leveraged negotiations.

-Ensure the deployment of the Commodity strategy in new and ongoing projects to contribute to savings objectives.

-Identify, present, and coordinate MCE activities and cost-reduction initiatives with program teams.

-Support plants in incidents related to supplier logistics and quality.

What we're looking for

Essential requirements:

-University degree in Engineering, Economics, or Supply Chain.

-High level of English, both oral and written.

-Advanced mastery of Excel and good handling of PowerPoint.

-Negotiation and supplier management skills.

-Analytical ability and problem-solving orientation.

-Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and multifunctional teams.

-High degree of autonomy, initiative, and proactivity, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and set priorities effectively.

-Mastery of computer tools, especially Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
