The role

In the Transport area, we are looking to hire a Senior Bridge and Civil Structures Engineer to lead high-quality structural solutions and drive the growth of the discipline in Spain.

Our team designs and evaluates structures end to end —from conception and feasibility to preliminary and detailed design— both in specific bridge commissions and integrated into large multidisciplinary projects. We collaborate with public-sector clients and contractors on design-and-build schemes, with a strong track record in Spain, other European countries, and the Middle East.

As a Senior Engineer specializing in civil structures, you will work on flagship projects: railway and highway bridges (including high-speed rail), elevated metro systems, cut-and-cover tunnels and portals, structural rehabilitation and strengthening, as well as the full spectrum of structures for civil infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects in Spain and abroad.

What you'll do

Lead and coordinate complex structural design projects —mainly civil works and bridges— from start to finish, ensuring quality solutions and client satisfaction.
Prepare technical documentation (reports, calculation notes, tender documents, and permit submissions).
Perform advanced calculations and designs for various bridge types and civil structures, ensuring compliance with applicable local and international standards.
Provide technical expertise for studies and design tasks, and conduct value engineering assessments, identifying innovative designs, materials, and construction techniques.
Carry out quality control reviews of work performed by other engineers, providing approvals and sign-offs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, raising the overall technical level of the team.
Coordinate multidisciplinary integration to deliver coherent structural solutions.

Requirements

We are looking to hire a Civil Engineer or a graduate in Civil Engineering (Caminos, Canales y Puertos) with more than 8 years of experience in design and structural analysis of bridges and civil works, with proven results on complex projects.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and align solutions with project objectives and client expectations.
Fluency in Spanish and English. Additional languages will be positively valued.
Proficiency in structural engineering software for bridges and civil structures.
Interpersonal skills to build trust and act as a technical advisor.
Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers and in driving the team's technical excellence.
Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, delivering integrated solutions.
Experience collaborating in other countries, mainly in Europe, will be positively valued.
