Caregiver

The AFANIAS families association was founded in 1964 and works every day to be a leading organization in intellectual disability, with social presence and influence, facilitating the autonomy and quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, responding to their life cycle.
In this context, the position of Caregiver is being called for at the Residence located in CANILLEJAS (Madrid), on a 100% full-time basis.

The mission of the position will be to maintain and help the user achieve personal/occupational autonomy, maintenance of manipulative and daily living skills, as well as to participate directly in the application, monitoring, and evaluation of the care and recovery measures programmed for the users.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Foresee, recognize, and attend to the needs of the users.
• Ensure compliance with the self-care protocol (manipulative and daily living skills).
• Achieve habits of order, cleanliness, and hygiene in the users.
• Teach how to handle the various materials and tools of the workshop.
• Participate actively in conflict resolution. Help the user. Direct care.
• Ensure the safety of the users (that they do not harm themselves).
• Promote and favor social relationships between users and with other people.
• Control that users comply with the daily activity schedules.
• Supervise the achievement of objectives.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

• Training: Nursing Assistant or the Certificate of Professionalism in Socio-sanitary Care.
• Food Handler's Certificate (VALUABLE).
• First aid course (VALUABLE).
• At least 1 year of experience in similar functions.
• Person with high orientation and customer service, ability to work in a team, and organized.
• Positive and constructive attitude.
• High capacity for work demonstrating proactivity and autonomy.
• Social sensitivity and interest in social causes, especially regarding disability.
• Work permit in Spain.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday from 07:20 to 14:50 hours.
