What we're looking for

The AFANIAS families association was founded in 1964 and works every day to be a leading organization in intellectual disability, with social presence and influence, facilitating the autonomy and quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, responding to their life cycle.
In this context, the position of Support Teacher is being called for at COLEGIO NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LAS VICTORIAS, with IMMEDIATE availability.

JOB MISSION

To favor the development of communication, language, and learning of the students, providing the necessary specialized educational supports to enhance their autonomy, participation, and inclusion.

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

• Intervention in learning, speech, language, and communication disorders.
 Development of intervention programming and objectives, as well as monitoring and reports.
 Individual and group treatment sessions.
 Development of specific materials for communication.
 Implementation of AACs
 Coordination with tutors and other professionals for monitoring the intervention.
 Coordination and monitoring with families.
. Coordinating artistic projects (music and dance).

REQUIRED PROFILE

 Required qualification: Teacher with a specialization in Therapeutic Pedagogy or Speech and Language (AL)
 At least 1 year of experience in intervention with learning difficulties, intellectual disability, and AACs.
 Positive and constructive attitude.
 High capacity for work, demonstrating proactivity and autonomy.
 Social sensitivity and interest in social causes, especially regarding disability.

ADDITIONALLY VALUED

 Experience in intervention and assessment with people with ASD
 Proficiency in tools based on the use of pictograms.
 Alternative communication systems, sign language, communicators, pictograms,…
 Knowledge of didactic programming, adaptation of materials and content, and evaluation
. Knowledge of music and dance (ESSENTIAL).
