Automation and Advanced Manufacturing Technician

• Higher Level Vocational Training in Industrial Automation and Robotics, Industrial Mechatronics, Electrotechnical and Automated Systems, or related degrees.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation, maintenance, commissioning, or operation of industrial machinery and facilities, preferably in automotive or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of PLC programming (TIA Portal, CodeSys, or similar), industrial robotics, SCADA, industrial communication networks, and plant management systems (MES, traceability, data capture, etc.).
• Experience with industrial machinery, such as presses, CNC machining centers, robotic cells, automatic lines, or other industrial equipment, along with knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial mechanics.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, solve problems, work in a team, and transmit knowledge through technical training.
• A good level of English and Basque is required, as well as availability for occasional travel.

AIC - Automotive Intelligence Center is looking to hire an Automation and Advanced Manufacturing Technician to join the Automotive Smart Factory (ASF) team, one of AIC's competence centers specializing in the development, validation, and implementation of Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 5.0 solutions.

The selected person will participate in the operation and evolution of the ASF's technological infrastructures, providing technical support to the pilot plant, laboratories, and workshop areas. They will collaborate in the commissioning, maintenance, and improvement of industrial equipment and facilities, supporting engineering and innovation projects and participating in training activities aimed at professionals in the sector.

• Operate, tune, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the equipment and facilities of the ASF pilot plant, laboratories, and workshop areas.
• Provide technical support to Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 5.0 projects, participating in the integration, installation, and validation of new technologies and in the continuous improvement of the ASF infrastructures.
• Program and adjust industrial automation systems (PLC, robotics, HMI/SCADA, and industrial communications), as well as diagnose and resolve technical incidents.
• Prepare technical documentation, work procedures, and maintenance plans.
• Deliver theoretical-practical training on advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and industrial robotics, in addition to collaborating in technological demonstrations, technical visits, and workshops aimed at companies.
