What we're looking for
We would love to meet you if you feel passion for retail, food, and people, and if you have:
●At least 1 year of previous experience as a deli assistant.
●Training in food handling/food safety.
●Knowledge of knife handling and deli machinery.
●Basic level office tools
●PERMANENT CONTRACT part-time 15 H/W Mon-Fri
The role
As part of the Fresh Foods Market team, led by the Market Manager, your duties will be:
●Providing a warm welcome to customers, advising and informing them about product features for an excellent shopping experience.
●Receiving and inspecting merchandise, ensuring product freshness and quality.
●Cutting, weighing, and packaging products from the section for display, ensuring proper presentation and correct labeling for sale.
●Managing inventory, supporting the Manager with orders and stocktaking.
●Monitoring and removing products that do not meet required freshness standards.
●Cleaning, organizing, and overseeing section materials, as well as maintaining market facilities.
