The role

Operations are the essence of everything we do at Amazon. Items are processed and shipped to our customers on time thanks to operational efficiency. Being an operations supervisor gives you the opportunity to see how its different stages work and to intervene so that everything runs smoothly.

You will be the first point of contact for team members during their shift and you will help them follow the processes established by your superiors. This is a very hands-on role that will provide you with experience in using the tools and systems that guarantee the success of our operations.

A day in the life

As an operations supervisor, your site will be in one of our operating centers. You will help your shift/area manager execute the plan established for each shift. To do this, you will play a fundamental role in team meetings held before each shift and you will supervise procedures to ensure that everyone follows safety rules, quality processes, and each day's priority plan.

If you detect any problem, you will communicate it to your superior, but sometimes you will be the most senior person on the shift and the one in charge of giving others the necessary instructions to carry out their tasks. On other occasions, you will help your area manager organize shifts to ensure sufficient staffing coverage during peak hours.

What you'll do

Key job responsibilities

- Measure and supervise workflows, monitor productivity in the center, and provide key information about shifts to first-line managers to ensure operational excellence.

- Provide support and training to staff so they can deliver excellent service and supervise them in their daily tasks.

- Support the area manager with projects aimed at improving processes, creating a safe work environment, and increasing worker motivation.

- Collaborate with other departments to find solutions to common problems or ensure performance in key areas.

- Identify ways to optimize safety, quality, and productivity through data analysis.

How you'll work

For this position, it is necessary to have availability to work rotating shifts, which may include weekends and nights.
