What we're looking for
- Relevant experience in complying with local health and safety legislation.

About the team
The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a fundamental role in ensuring the mental and physical well-being of our workforce at work. Our team works with managers, associates, and local authorities across all our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon policies and legal regulations, and guaranteeing the safety of our working environments. The team offers a variety of opportunities, from Safety Technicians to Program Managers. Regardless of your role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the safety strategy across the network.
What you'll do
- Conduct risk audits and assessments.
- Supervise the site to ensure processes comply with Amazon safety procedures.
- Create and update reports on security metrics for team members to review.
- Collaborate with Operations staff and others across the company on security-related tasks and provide guidance on processes.
- Support the implementation of new security measures
You will work at one of our centers. This means you will be able to closely monitor what happens, and colleagues will be able to consult you easily during their shifts. This role involves identifying potential problems before they occur. You will spend a lot of time reviewing the center and learning how staff use the equipment. By understanding how each task and machine works, you will be able to think of the best ways to keep processes safe. You will also be one of the people responsible for putting security changes into practice, which means working closely with many people. In addition to your daily and weekly tasks, you will provide support to the Operations team on specific security-related projects. Safety is fundamental at Amazon, and you will help us gather the essential data that allows us to control our processes and stay ahead of any incidents. You will also share that data with staff across the company and collaborate with other teams to ensure safety always comes first.
