What you'll do

Functions:

  • Identify and communicate compliance issues, risks and opportunities for improvement to management by conducting weekly and monthly audits.
  • Facilitate and support the incident investigation process.
  • Maintain all required documentation to ensure full compliance with Amazon policies and current regulations.
  • Record and update information in internal databases accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Carry out safety observations and on-site audits.
  • Prepare, review and update comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Train and support team members, including Area Managers, to ensure compliance with their safety responsibilities, such as conducting audits and following standards.
  • Deliver specialized training sessions when requested by management.
  • Manage additional safety-related responsibilities, such as fire prevention, hazardous waste management or other related activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, driving action plans through to successful implementation and closure.

How you'll work

  • 40-hour working week.
  • Rotating shifts of mornings, afternoons and nights from Monday to Sunday, with the rest periods required by law (weekends depending on workload).

Requirements

Basic job requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) with all three specialties: Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety needs and requirements to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to remain calm and act professionally in emergency situations or under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing confidential information related to safety and personnel matters in the workplace.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.
  • Own vehicle to access the workplace.

Valuable knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, analytical ability, sound judgment in decision-making and a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to analyze accident data, evaluate new processes and machinery in order to identify potential risks and conduct comprehensive risk analyses per job position.
  • Experience in emergency management and response, with current accredited certifications.
  • Passion for safety and well-being in the workplace.
  • Experience collaborating with Workplace Health and Safety Committees.
