Waiter/Waitress with Catalan

Requirements:

2 to 3 years of experience in similar positions in the dining area and bar.

Experience in wine service, including opening and table service.

Knowledge of professional coffee machine operation and the preparation of coffees and infusions.

Ability to maintain concentration and work pace throughout the entire service, even with a high workload.

Punctuality and commitment to the established schedule.

Initiative, autonomy, and decision-making ability within their scope of action.

Must have their own means of transport or access to one, as the restaurant is located outside the urban center.

Ananda manages the selection for a family restaurant specializing in Mediterranean cuisine and brasserie, a benchmark in the area for its grilled meats, rice dishes, fish, and traditional cuisine prepared with quality products. It features large dining rooms for celebrations and events, and serves both private clientele as well as groups and companies. Its identity is a close, personal service combined with a market-based gastronomic proposal.

The selected person will join the service with operations already underway and will integrate into the floor team, under the coordination of the floor management.

-Attend to and advise customers with close, friendly, and professional service.

• Take orders on paper, for both the menu and the à la carte selection, resolving doubts and making recommendations.
• Autonomously manage an assigned range of tables, from the beginning to the end of the service.
• Serve food and drinks following the quality standards and the restaurant's protocol.
• Prepare coffees, infusions, and other simple drinks when the service requires it.
• Maintain fluid communication with the floor management and collaborate with the rest of the team.
• Perform the tidying, restocking, and cleaning of the dining area at the end of the service.

Contract: permanent, with the possibility of joining the staff.

Working day: part-time, Tuesday to Sunday, from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Salary: €14,400 gross per year.

Collective agreement: Hostelería de Barcelona.

Other aspects of the position: no overtime is performed, there are no tips or meals provided during the working day, and during service, the use of mobile phones or smartwatches is not permitted unless for an authorized reason.
