What you'll get

Join a small company in a full stage of expansion and transformation.

You will work with real projects, our own products, and relevant clients, having the ability to directly influence our way of organizing development and the evolution of the company.

We are looking for a stable relationship and a person who can grow professionally alongside Applinet.

Location: Écija (Seville).

We are open to considering different formulas of on-site or hybrid work depending on the candidate's experience and location.

If you have experience managing software projects and you enjoy ensuring that teams, clients, priorities, and deliveries are perfectly coordinated, we would like to meet you.

Are you joining our project?

The role

At Applinet, we are looking to hire a Software Project / Delivery Manager to help us organize, coordinate, and monitor our development projects.

We are a small company, but in the midst of exponential growth, with 25 years of experience in software development and specializing in management, logistics, and transport projects. We work both on our own products and on developments for large-scale clients and high-demand environments.

We are looking for a person who will become the point of reference for the organization and delivery of projects, working directly with technical management, developers, and clients.

What you'll do

Your main responsibility will be to ensure that projects move forward, that commitments are clear, and that deliveries take place within the agreed deadlines.

We are not looking for a head of programming nor necessarily a technical profile that develops software.

We are looking for someone who is capable of bringing order, anticipating problems, and making things happen.

  • Plan and monitor development projects.
  • Keep priorities, tasks, responsible parties, and dates up to date.
  • Coordinate work among the various developers.
  • Detect blockers, delays, or deviations before they become problems.
  • Monitor commitments made to clients.
  • Coordinate deliveries and production deployments.
  • Participate in follow-up meetings with clients when necessary.
  • Keep technical management informed about the real status of each project.
  • Help transform requests and needs into organized and executable tasks.
  • Progressively improve our management and monitoring procedures.

What are we looking for?

An organized, proactive person with the ability to work simultaneously on several projects.

We will especially value

  • Experience managing software development projects.
  • Experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, IT Project Manager, or similar positions.
  • Ability to work directly with development teams.
  • Ease of communication with clients.
  • Ability to prioritize when multiple simultaneous requests exist.
  • Practical mindset and results orientation.
  • Ability to detect problems and propose solutions.
  • Autonomy and organizational skills.

Being a programmer is not essential, but it is important to understand how a software development project works and to feel comfortable working daily with developers.

In their own words

About the company & team

This position will not be the technical lead of the developers.

They will work alongside them and will have authority over the organization, planning, priorities, commitments, and monitoring of projects, while technical decisions will continue to correspond to the technical leads and the development team itself.

They will report directly to technical management.

We want this person to progressively become the one who can answer questions such as with clarity:

  • What have we committed to?
  • What are we doing now?
  • What is blocked?
  • What is being delivered this week?
  • What is our risk of non-compliance?
  • What requires a technical management decision?
