MEP Consultant Engineer

Arcadis is looking for an MEP Consultant Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Smart Buildings team in Madrid, Spain.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated professional wishing to consolidate their career at the leading global Design and Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, as part of a successful team working with top-tier multinational clients.

Our ideal candidate will have technical experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, an innovative mindset, and digital orientation. You will be part of our Smart Buildings team and report directly to the Team Leader.

As a member of the Smart Buildings team, your main functions will include:

• Providing MEP consultancy services, Technical Due Diligence, and project supervision.
• Identifying potential risks and limitations in asset purchase and sale operations, as well as estimating capital expenditures (CapEx) for future property management.
• Developing improvement and optimization proposals, as well as supporting the client throughout the entire transaction process.
• Managing client relationships, understanding and managing their expectations and needs.
• Preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and advising on building installations from a technical, planning, economic, and quality perspective.
• Leading and coordinating communication with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the project schedule regarding all MEP disciplines.
• Representing Arcadis before owners, architects, consultants, public bodies, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Managing the financial aspects of client contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with both clients and Arcadis project team members.
• Attending all scheduled MEP meetings to supervise and manage the project, acting as chair when appropriate.
• Project financial management.
• Managing requests and payments, including the release of liens, ensuring the best possible cash flow throughout the project and proactively communicating any issues.
