What we're looking for
- Good knowledge of Operational case/claims management, including knowledge of the existing IT solutions if any
- Good stakeholder management skills - both with Top Management, peers and subordinates
- Excellent Product Owner skills as defined by the SCRUM framework (backlog management, user story slicing, etc.)
- Knowledgeable in other functional business and IT families the post holder needs to interact with
- Fully familiar with Agile terminology, concept and philosophy. Experience executing the events lead by the Product Owner (Sprint demo, refinements,...)
- Previous experience of working with IT teams is a must
- Previous experience of working in multinational environment
- Sound organisational, coordination, negotiation, problem solving and persuasion skills
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain complex concepts clearly and articulate key points out of general ideas, as well as challenge business requirements with good communication/conviction/negotiation skills
- Ability to demonstrate a highly professional work ethic in line with core AXA Travel insurance values and AXA Leadership Framework behaviours
- Some international travel could be required occasionally
Nice to have
- Previous experience as a Product owner/Product Manager inclusive of strong project management knowledge, change management principles, methodologies (e.g., agile) and tools with IT related changes are required
- Prince 2, Agile or equivalent Project Management qualification
- Azure Dev Ops experience is desirable
- CSPO qualification holder is a big plus
- Excellent standard of English, supported by relevant skills and experience against key requirements of role.

The role
As part of its largest travel transformation program, in recent years, AXA Partners has made significant investments and progress towards its ambition of automating and digitalising its products & services operations.
As Global Product Owner, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and roadmap of the Travel Claims Management product. You will co-ordinate a dedicated squad team (including IT Owner, Business Analysts, and Developers) and act as the key link bridging Business and IT. In this role, you will orchestrate with Guidewire Claims Centre, customer-facing and back-end solutions, and AI/GenAI components to ensure consistency and impact across the claims journey.

The purpose of the Product Owner role within AXA Partners (Travel business line) is to provide operational business leadership and ingenuity when reinforcing the cooperation between Business and IT and support the use of Agile practices as two key levers of future value creation for the company. To achieve this objective, the role of the Product Owner is the key.
Product is defined as a mix of IT & non IT capabilities dedicated to a functional domain and served by a Squad team, composed of a Product Owner and a realization team (IT Owner, Business Analyst, Developers) covering the full product life cycle.
The post-holder will act as an interface between the AXA Partners Travel Business Line non-IT departments (collectively called Business) and the rest of the Squad team.
The post-holder will be overall responsible for the Travel Claims Management product Guidewire and interface support including customer facing and other back end solutions, and their main focus within organisation will be on further promotion of those solutions internally and externally with existing user base, partners, prospects and further roll out within AXA Partners organisation.
What you'll do
The Global product Owner will work closely with International Operations team and Operations Teams across different Service Hubs, New Business and Global Account Management Teams, Finance, Underwriting, Organisational Development Team and D&S (Developments and Solutions - IT) counterparts including Digital Solutions and Operational Excellence within the AXA Partners Group.
- Lead the global product strategy and vision for claims management system in the travel insurance sector.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive the transformation journey and ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring the successful implementation of digital solutions and modernization of offline claims management processes.
- Work in a global context, understanding and addressing diverse market needs and regulatory requirements across different regions.
Product Owner will use their business knowledge of operational needs and requirements, when assessing and prioritising requests and requirements received from wider business units.
The post holder will be acting as a promoter for the product in charge and its further evolution to steer the improvements in the operational claims handling activities.
You will be expected to confidently accept or refuse the product increment.
The product Owner will manage all backlogs relating to the Claim Management system, including planning, Prioritisation and delivery of User stories in line with a global & standardized asset development approach
