We are looking to hire a Nurse for our Ballesol Cerrado Calderón residential care home to ensure comprehensive, close and quality healthcare, contributing to the well-being and health of our residents in a humane and trusting environment.

What you'll do

As a nurse, you will be responsible for providing personalized and continuous healthcare to residents, ensuring the correct administration of treatments and clinical monitoring for each person. Your role is key within the multidisciplinary team, coordinating care and promoting health education among professionals, residents, and families.

Monitor and record residents' vital signs and weight, carrying out clinical follow-up together with the auxiliary team.
Administer medication prescribed by the medical team, coordinating its preparation and distribution with auxiliary healthcare or pharmacy staff, and supervising correct intake together with nursing assistants and geriatric care aides.
Apply topical treatments, perform dressings and nursing techniques, such as cannulation, placement and changing of catheters or ostomy bags, blood glucose monitoring, and administration of medication via subcutaneous, intravenous, or intramuscular routes.
Detect and act on potential medical emergencies, applying established protocols and mobilizing the necessary resources effectively and safely.
Provide health and care education to both families and center staff, promoting good practices and healthy habits.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, providing relevant information on the clinical status of residents.
