What we're looking for

Essential:

• Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Industrial, Telecommunications Engineering, or similar.

• Demonstrable previous experience in testing and validation of electronic or software systems in automotive or mobility (an autonomous profile is sought, not junior).

• Practical knowledge of CAN networks and handling of Vector-type validation tools (CANoe, CANape, or similar) and CAN interfaces.

• Ability to connect to a vehicle, interpret electrical diagrams, and validate the operation of its systems.

Nice to have

Valuable:

• Experience in ECU diagnosis and flashing (INCA, ODIS, DiagRA, or similar).

• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).

• MATLAB / Simulink and Python for data analysis and test automation.

The role

We are selecting a Testing and Validations Engineer (electric and hydrogen vehicles) to join one of the teams that the Mobility and Transportation unit of BETWEEN has deployed at one of our main clients dedicated to the development of electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

The selected person will be responsible for validating and fine-tuning the vehicle's electrical, electronic, and software systems, going beyond pure testing: connecting to the vehicle, diagnosing faults, and verifying that all systems function correctly.

What you'll do

What will I do? These will be your main responsibilities:

• You will define and execute test and validation procedures for vehicle systems (electric powertrain, fuel cell, batteries, and auxiliary systems).

• You will connect to the vehicle and its components to verify system operation, power supply, and communications.

• You will analyze and validate CAN communications (DBC files) using Vector (CANoe, CANape) and Kvaser tools.

• You will perform ECU diagnosis and flashing, and analyze faults until identifying their root cause.

• You will collaborate in the definition of the electrical architecture and wiring of the vehicle and verify its correct implementation.

• You will participate in the initial commissioning and integration of components in the vehicle.

• You will document results in test reports and communicate incidents to the software, electronics, and mechanics teams.
