Location: Boluda Towage is looking to bring on a Senior Naval Mechanic for our tugboats at the Las Palmas de G.C. base. This position plays an essential role in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, ensuring the proper functioning of all onboard systems.
Operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems: Supervise, operate, and maintain the propulsion plant, generators, auxiliary systems, and other technical equipment on the tug.
Technical management and regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with national and international regulations, as well as with the Management System procedures (quality, environment, and occupational risk prevention).
Maintenance planning and execution: Coordinate with the technical inspector on preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, managing spare parts and ensuring the vessel's operational availability.
Technical documentation control: Keep the engine department's records and certificates up to date and collaborate on technical inspections.
ESSENTIAL: Must reside or be willing to reside in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; this is not a rotational position.
