The role

🔎We are opening a position for a 1st Engineer Officer on board our vessels and we want you to be part of our team!

What you'll do

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Coordinate and supervise, under the direction of the Chief Engineer, the work of the Engine Department, especially that which directly affects the vessel's operability.
Collaborate in the implementation and monitoring of the Safety Management Manual, ensuring its correct application in the Engine area.
Detect technical issues, report them, and propose improvements and corrective actions that contribute to the efficiency, productivity, sustainability, and correct operability of the vessel.
Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance work carried out both on board and by external workshops, acting as support in the liaison between the Engine Department and technical services.
Monitor and control the operating parameters and hours of the various equipment in the Engine Department.
Collaborate in completing the engine logbook, recording the most relevant events, consumption, and technical incidents.
Supervise strict compliance with schedules, duties, and the use of PPE (safety shoes, gloves, etc.) by Engine Department personnel, promoting a safe working environment.
