Boluda Corporación Marítima - Senior Naval Mechanic 

Location: Boluda Towage is looking to bring on a Senior Naval Mechanic for our tugboats at the Las Palmas de G.C. base. This position plays an essential role in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, ensuring the proper functioning of all onboard systems.

Main duties

• Operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems: Supervise, operate, and maintain the propulsion plant, generators, auxiliary systems, and other technical equipment on the tugboat.

• Technical management and regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with national and international regulations, as well as with the procedures of the Management System (quality, environment, and occupational risk prevention).

• Planning and execution of maintenance: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks with the technical inspector, managing spare parts and ensuring the operational availability of the vessel.

• Technical documentation control: Keep the engine department's records and certificates up to date and collaborate on technical inspections.

Job requirements

• Qualification: Senior Naval Mechanic with chief engineer authorization up to 3,000kW or more

• Certificates: basic safety training, medical examination, initial medical care, non-fast rescue boats, advanced firefighting

IT IS ESSENTIAL to reside or be willing to reside in LAS PALMAS; this is not a rotation-based position.

Ubicación: Boluda Towage busca incorporar un Mecánico Mayor Naval para nuestros remolcadores en la base de Las Palmas de G.C. Esta posición desempeña un papel esencial en la operación segura y eficiente del buque, asegurando el correcto funcionamiento de todos los sistemas a bordo.

Funciones principales

• Operación y mantenimiento de sistemas mecánicos y eléctricos: Supervisar, operar y mantener la planta propulsora, generadores, sistemas auxiliares y demás equipos técnicos del remolcador.

• Gestión técnica y cumplimiento normativo: Garantizar el cumplimiento de las normativas nacionales e internacionales, así como de los procedimientos del Sistema de Gestión (calidad, medio ambiente y PRL).

• Planificación y ejecución de mantenimientos: Coordinar con el inspector técnico las tareas de mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo, gestionando los repuestos y asegurando la disponibilidad operativa del buque.

• Control de documentación técnica: Mantener al día los registros y certificados del departamento de máquinas y colaborar en las inspecciones técnicas.

Requisitos del puesto

• Titulación: Mecánico Mayor Naval con atribución de jefe de máquinas hasta 3.000kW o más

• Certificados: formación básica en seguridad, reconocimiento médico, sanitario inicial, botes de rescate no rápidos, avanzado de lucha contra incendios

IMPRESCINDIBLE residir o estar dispuesto a residir en LAS PALMAS, no se trabaja por campañas.
