Veolia Servicios Lecam, in its energy services division, needs to hire an instrumentation maintenance technician for Gran Canaria Island.

What you'll do

  • Perform major and minor overhauls on high-criticality equipment (transformers, alternators, medium and high voltage switchgear).

  • Intervene in circuit breakers, disconnectors, excitations, and protection systems of generation plants.

  • Carry out tests and diagnostics on critical electrical equipment.

  • Take dielectric oil samples and perform winding megger tests.

  • Verify temperature and vibration control loops in generation systems.

  • Recondition or replace damaged components in alternators and transformers.

  • Replace bearings in cooling pump motors and vibration sensors.

  • Replace faulty thermocouples and other measuring instruments.

Requirements

  • Intermediate Degree in Electricity and Electronics or Industrial Instrumentation is valued, with experience in generation plants.

  • 2-3 years of experience in maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.

  • Knowledge of electrical safety regulations (RBT, NTP), teamwork skills, and availability to travel between the four work centers.
