What we're looking for

Professional experience in Java software development (typically 5+ years)
Experience developing database-driven applications and working with SQL
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within development teams
Very good English communication skills (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have

Experience developing user interfaces with Eclipse RCP (Rich Client Platform).
Experience with mass spectrometry data processing applications.
Academic background in Chemistry, Physics, Bioinformatics, Biology, Food Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
German language skills.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will develop and enhance full-stack scientific software applications, working across both the user interface and backend components. You will contribute to Java-based applications and database-driven solutions that support innovation in life science research.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain Java-based software used by scientists worldwide to analyze mass spectrometry data.
Design and implement features across both backend services and user interface components.
Develop database-driven functionality and data management solutions.
Develop new product features and continuously improve existing applications.
Collaborate with software engineers, application scientists, and testers in an interdisciplinary environment.
Contribute to technical design decisions and software quality improvements.
