Responsibilities and opportunities

You will join the Generic Applications team, where adaptations of CAF Signalling's Interlocking to different railway administrations and projects are carried out.

Tasks to be performed will vary progressively according to integration into the work team and the acquired knowledge of the product and signalling. Specifically, the forecast is:

  • Starting with SW implementation and verification tasks. The goal in this phase is to learn the implementation and verification methodology. Implementation is carried out using the SW Requirements Specification (ERS) as a reference, where System requirements are distributed and associated with the different components. The implementation of said components is carried out through state machines.
In this implementation phase, it is important to gain proficiency in understanding and handling the ERS.
  • With a solid foundation regarding component structure and how to navigate the design, the next step is to tackle design/integration tests. In a host environment (eclipse) and using proprietary tools, tests are performed using a proprietary scripting language and supported by continuous integration tools.
  • After consolidating concepts in the integration phase, the candidate will be prepared to tackle the next step: adaptations in the ENCE design based on small requirement modifications and/or bug fixes.
  • Finally, the candidate will aspire to coordinate all development activities of a specific project, organizing the work of a small group of people, acting as an interface with the client, Engineering, and reporting to the JdP.

What is the process like?

We will begin with a phone conversation to get to know you and explain the position and the company.

Next, you will have an individual online meeting with the technical and people team, where you can learn the details of the tasks within the work team, clear up any doubts and curiosities you have about the vacancy.
