HSEQ Technician

Within the HSEQ department, provide support for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the HSEQ management systems at the Parets del Vallés and Santa Margarida dels Monjos sites, promoting a solid preventive culture, ensuring legal compliance, and collaborating in the achievement of safety, environmental, and quality objectives.

Main functions and responsibilities
• Develop and implement the organization's HSEQ strategy, goals, and objectives, in alignment with general objectives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, responsibility, and commitment to HSEQ standards.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the HSEQ management system and derived documentation, ensuring they are understood and applied throughout the organization.
• Contribute to the maintenance of certifications.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and requirements, as well as corporate standards and internal procedures.
• Develop HSEQ best practices, ensuring that the organization's operations, processes, and practices comply with applicable requirements.
• Drive the reduction of incidents, risks, and environmental impacts.
• Identify potential risks to worker health and safety and the environment to propose control and reduction measures.
• Participate in periodic audits and inspections to evaluate compliance with HSEQ standards and policies.
• Monitor corrective actions derived from findings to rectify deficiencies and improve performance.
• Promote awareness and communication campaigns regarding HSEQ matters.
• Develop training programs aimed at informing and capacitating workers on HSEQ requirements, as well as safe working practices and environmental protection.
• Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine their root causes, implement corrective actions to prevent their repetition, and foster a culture of reporting, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate the monitoring and control of worker health to ensure it is carried out in accordance with the risks of each job position.
• Collaborate and participate in the preparation of self-protection plans, emergency/firefighting actions, first aid, and documentation derived from serious accidents.
• Support, coordinate, and provide assistance to preventive activities. • Perform periodic plant inspections to verify compliance with safety and environmental requirements. • Collaborate in risk assessment, contractor management, and coordination of business activities. • Identify improvement opportunities in processes, facilities, and behaviors. • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing the safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability of operations. • Provide support and advice to the various departments to ensure the integration of HSEQ principles into daily activities.

Requirements (education, knowledge, and experience) •
Bachelor's/Degree in Chemical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
• Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention.
• Between 2 and 5 years of experience in HSE positions in industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or related sectors.
• English: B2 level or higher.
