About the role

Are you interested in ensuring safety on industrial and energy projects, and leading the implementation of HSE plans on site? At RDT, we are looking for an HSE Coordinator / Prevention Technician with experience in industrial plants and renewable energy, to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards, supervise the correct implementation of HSE plans, coordinate contractors and multidisciplinary teams, and guarantee safe project development at both operational and regulatory levels.

What you'll do

  • Implement, supervise, and update the project's Health and Safety Plan.

  • Conduct on-site safety inspections and audits, identifying risk situations and proposing corrective actions.

  • Coordinate preventive activities among the different contractors and subcontractors.

  • Verify compliance with applicable legal regulations and client HSE requirements.

  • Deliver safety talks, specific training sessions, and toolbox meetings.

  • Manage the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting causes and preventive measures.

  • Control work permits, safe procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), work at height, confined spaces, etc.

  • Prepare periodic HSE reports, indicators (KPIs), statistics, and documentation for the Project Manager or Site Manager.

  • Ensure the correct use of PPE and collective protective equipment.

  • Collaborate in emergency management and evacuation plans.

  • Coordinate with international and multidisciplinary teams on EPC projects.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in HSE roles in industrial, energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, civil works, or EPC projects.

  • Experience both on site and in the office

  • Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention with all three specializations for Coordinator:

    • Occupational Safety

    • Industrial Hygiene

    • Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology

  • Advanced training in Occupational Risk Prevention (50h/60h).

  • Knowledge of national and international health and safety regulations.

  • Ability to supervise on-site work and coordinate contractors.

  • Competence in delivering training sessions and safety talks.

  • Communication skills, preventive leadership, and document management.

Nice to have

  • Experience in large-scale or international projects.

  • Intermediate English to communicate with international teams, hold meetings, and review technical documentation.

  • Additional HSE training (NEBOSH, OSHA, or other certifications).

  • Knowledge of the environment, waste management, or sustainability.

  • Proficiency in reporting software, HSE platforms, or document management tools.
