FPGA Engineer, VHDL/DO 254

• Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in FPGA development.
• Solid experience in design and development using VHDL.
• Experience in the design, development, and integration of IP Cores.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience working on projects under DO-254 / ED-80 standards.
• Experience with requirements capture and traceability, requirements-based verification, and the generation of certification evidence under DO-254.
• Knowledge of Design Assurance Level (DAL) principles and the hardware development lifecycle under DO-254.
• Ability to work with technical documentation and requirements in English.

• Experience with AMD/Xilinx devices, especially Artix, Kintex, Virtex, and UltraScale / UltraScale+ families.
• Experience with Xilinx Vivado and simulation tools such as ModelSim / Questa or Vivado Simulator.
• Solid knowledge of digital design and FPGA architecture.
• Experience in simulation and verification of FPGA designs using testbenches.
• Experience with Intel/Altera or Microchip FPGA.
• Experience with interfaces and protocols such as Ethernet, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, SPI, I2C, UART, or PCIe.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or equivalents.
• Direct participation in DO-254 certification processes, audits, or reviews.
• Experience in developments with DAL A/B/C assurance levels.
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog and advanced verification methodologies.
• Experience with FPGA/SoC devices such as Zynq or equivalents.
• Knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761, and DO-178C.
• Previous experience in aeronautical and defense sector projects.
• English level B2.

We are looking for an FPGA Engineer with experience in VHDL and DO-254 to join our Electronics and Software department and participate in the development and evolution of FPGA solutions for the AERO/DEFENSE sector and work on military aircraft.

Functions

• Definition of FPGA architectures based on system and hardware requirements.
• Design, development, and integration of IP Cores using VHDL for complex digital systems.
• Participation in the full FPGA development cycle, from requirements and architecture definition to implementation, verification, and integration.
• Performance of synthesis, timing analysis, and design optimization activities.
• Development of simulation environments, testbenches, and verification strategies.
• Performance of functional, timing, and hardware verification tests.
• Integration, validation, and debugging of FPGAs on electronic equipment and embedded systems.
• Development and execution of verification activities for different product configurations and evolutions.
• Participation in design and verification reviews.
• Generation and maintenance of the evidence and documentation necessary for DO-254 / ED-80 compliance, including requirements, traceability, design, and verification.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary hardware, software, systems, validation, and certification teams.
