Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technician – (Solar Thermal Plant)

REQUIREMENTS

• Technical training (intermediate or higher degree) in electricity, electronics, instrumentation.
• Minimum 2 years of prior experience in power generation plants or processes, with knowledge of field instrumentation and high, medium, and low voltage electrical distribution systems (Combined Cycle, Thermal, or Hydroelectric Power Plants, etc.).
• Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) such as PRISMA.
• Basic technical English proficiency.
• Valid Driver's License B

Electrical Maintenance and Instrumentation & Control Technician trained to carry out preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance tasks, as well as calibrations and commissioning of electrical and control equipment within the electrical department of a concentrated solar power plant, ensuring the availability, reliability and safety of equipment and systems in accordance with the maintenance plans and established manuals.

SKILLS

Electrical

• Interpretation of P&ID, single-line diagrams, and control schematics.
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems in medium and low voltage (distribution panels, electrical cells, motors, variable frequency drives, UPS, transformers, etc.).
• Handling of measuring equipment, electrical protections, and fault detection.
• Inspection, adjustment, and replacement of control valves, sensors, and actuators.
• Application of predictive maintenance techniques: thermographic inspection, vibration analysis, etc.

Instrumentation and Control

• Calibration and configuration of pressure, temperature, level, flow, and other measuring instruments.
• Experience with sensors, transmitters, control valves, analog and digital control loops.
• Diagnosis and troubleshooting of control and industrial communication systems (4-20 mA, Modbus, etc.).

Regulations and Workplace Safety (HSE)

• Knowledge of electrical regulations.
• Application of industrial safety standards and electrical risk prevention.
• Familiar with Work Permit (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Execution of preventive and corrective maintenance work orders (CMMS).
