The role

We are looking for a Data Crawler Specialist to strengthen the ProdTech team and take charge of our production crawling system: how it is designed, how it is executed, and how incidents and future improvements are resolved.

It's not about rebuilding the system from scratch, but rather operating it in production, resolving day-to-day incidents, and making it grow: new sources, new countries, etc.

Above all, we are looking for someone with a data engineer mindset: someone who enjoys solving complex crawling problems across multiple data sources, capturing high volumes of data (more than 500GB/month) — not just basic scraping of open websites. We especially value autonomy and technical persistence to move forward without depending on others when something gets stuck.

Your mission will be to maintain and grow our production crawling system, incorporating new sources and sites, resolving incidents with real autonomy, and becoming a key piece of the technical team.

A real growth path towards becoming a key person in the technical team, with room to make architectural decisions and grow technically.

What is our tech stack?

  • Crawling in Python of complex sites on a recurring basis, not just one-off, managing more than 700GB on a monthly basis.

  • Dynamic rendering with Playwright and Selenium for sites that require executing JS.

  • Reverse engineering of mobile application APIs.

  • Organization and storage of captured data in MongoDB.

  • Infrastructure on Docker, to deploy and maintain our own crawling services.

What we're looking for

  • Real experience (3+ years) operating crawling or scraping systems in production.

  • Having worked with high-volume data systems and knowing methodologies such as rate limiting, proxy or user-agent rotation, captchas or anti-bot systems (Cloudflare, PerimeterX, DataDome...).

  • Ability to parse complex HTML and work with JS-rendered sites (Playwright/Selenium in production).

  • Experience with Python and MongoDB in professional environments.

  • Demonstrable autonomy: the ability to fix a broken crawler without depending on anyone else.

  • English level B2 valued, but not essential.

  • We positively value experience in reverse engineering of mobile applications (traffic interception with Charles Proxy, Burp Suite...).

  • 100% remote work is valued.
