What you'll do

  • End-to-end administration of Oracle (11g/12c/19c+): installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
  • Advanced Exadata operations (on-prem/Cloud@Customer): optimization (Smart Scan, HCC, Storage Indexes), IORM, and capacity.
  • High availability and DR: RAC, Data Guard, RMAN; periodic recovery testing.
  • Performance & tuning: SQL/PLSQL, ASH/AWR, statistics, and execution plan analysis.
  • Security: hardening, auditing, encryption/TDE (if applicable), role management, and least privilege.
  • Automation/standardization: scripting (Shell/PLSQL), runbooks, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Secondary support: SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MariaDB; NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis; Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
  • Collaboration with platform/VMware, network, and application teams; documentation and continuous improvement.
