For our Madrid office, we are looking for an Accounting Expert

To guarantee the reliability, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial information, ensuring the correct execution of accounting and reporting processes, compliance with local and international regulations (IFRS), and support for business decision-making, contributing to operational continuity and the effective integration of ENGIE's governance model in an environment of growth and transformation.

• To manage and supervise the daily accounting operations of the energy marketing company, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, operating expenses, and other relevant accounting records, guaranteeing the reliability, traceability, and consistency of the financial information.
• To be responsible for the Record to Report (R2R) process, ensuring the correct execution of all activities associated with the accounting cycle, from the recording of transactions to the financial closing and reporting.
• To participate actively and ensure compliance with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing processes, guaranteeing the quality of the financial information and strict compliance with the internal and corporate reporting deadlines established by the organization and the group.
• To prepare and collaborate in the preparation of financial statements and internal and external reports, ensuring their alignment with accounting and tax regulations and the corporate criteria of the group.
• To ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and financial regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, coordinating with auditors, external advisors, and other areas when necessary.
• To coordinate transversally with other business areas (operations, commercial, purchasing, regulation, etc.) to correctly collect, validate, and record financial information, ensuring an integrated view of business performance.
• To contribute actively to the continuous improvement of accounting and internal control processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation, and standardization within the dynamic and regulated environment of the energy sector.
• To ensure the knowledge, application, and compliance of corporate policies regarding Health and Safety, Diversity and Inclusion, Cybersecurity, Environment, Sustainability, Ethics, and Compliance, as well as the procedures and processes defined by the organization.

• Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, or other equivalent training.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or accounting control positions.
• Experience in international work environments or multinational group environments.
• Expert command of spreadsheets as well as experience in accounting improvement, standardization, or automation processes.

• Analytical capacity.
