Currently, for our Madrid headquarters, an Electrical Engineer specializing in grid connection for the development of renewable energy projects in Spain.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for the technical grid connection analysis of renewable energy projects (photovoltaic, wind, BESS, and hybridizations), guaranteeing technical viability and compliance with the Spanish grid code, including technical support in obtaining EON, ION, and FON certifications, from development phases through to commissioning.

  • Evaluation of grid connection viability (HV and MV)
  • Analysis and interpretation of the Spanish grid code (NTA, P.O., etc.)
  • Execution, review, and validation of:
    • Load flows (execution)
    • Dynamic simulations (review)
  • Evaluation of:
    • Voltage levels
    • Load on transformers, lines, and buses
    • Reactive compensation needs
  • Review of REE and distributor studies
  • Analysis of access and connection permits and their impact on project development (AAP, AAC)
  • Preparation of preliminary designs and basic projects for processing
  • Technical review of Administrative Projects
  • Coordination with development, engineering, and execution teams
  • Optimization of electrical design and project connection strategy
  • Grid Compliance & Commissioning
    • Technical support in obtaining EON, ION, and FON certifications
    • Definition of technical requirements for dynamic simulations for grid code compliance
    • Management and coordination of specialized/certified consultancies
    • Review and interpretation of simulation results
    • Preparation of required technical documentation
    • Coordination with execution teams for the implementation of requirements
    • Evolution towards technical liaison with TSO (REE) and DSO
