Multipurpose Operations Staff

Possession of the certificate (MAPN0712) PORT CARGO OPERATIONS, STOWAGE, UNLOADING, UNSTOWAGE AND TRANS SHIPMENT or any certificate included in Order FOM/2297/2012. Experience as a machine operator handling large-scale wheel loaders is highly valued. Driver's license. Adaptability to different shifts, schedules, and types of operation. Availability for assignment to different tasks within their professional group. Location: Seville

General functions (common to all roles): - Loading, unloading, stowage, unstowage, lashing, unlashing, stacking, and movement of goods. - Manual and mechanical handling of bulk cargo and general cargo. - Support for vessel, quay, and warehouse operations. Strict compliance with safety regulations, OSH, and operating procedures. - Basic maintenance of order and cleanliness in work areas. - Collaboration with the team leader and the rest of the assigned crew. Specific functions according to operational role: 1. Stevedore laborer - Manual handling of goods. - Direct support to machinery and mechanical means. - Placement, removal, and securing of tools, tarpaulins, straps, and auxiliary elements. - Signaling and visual support during loading and unloading maneuvers. 2. Amantero/a (Dockside Loader) - Work in the hold, on the quay, or on the yard during loading and unloading operations. - Reception, placement, and distribution of goods according to operating instructions. - Visual control of correct stowage and cargo stability. - Constant communication with machine operators and operation managers. 3. Machine Operator (valued based on training) - Operation of port machinery (cranes, loaders, forklifts, conveyor belts, or other equipment). - Basic inspection of equipment before, during, and after the operation. - Detection and communication of technical or safety incidents. - Efficient use of mechanical means in accordance with established procedures. Functional Multiskilling The position requires multiskilling, whereby the worker may perform any of the described functions interchangeably depending on operational needs, their training, and their certification.
