The role

Technical Business Analyst - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

The opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to act as a link between business and technology, transforming complex functional needs into clear, complete, and technically viable requirements.

The selected person will be responsible for understanding business objectives, identifying and defining requirements, analyzing processes, and collaborating closely with technical teams to ensure that the designed and implemented solutions respond adequately to the needs of the users and the organization.

This role requires a combination of functional, analytical, and technical capabilities, as well as experience in stakeholder management and in digital transformation environments.

What you'll do

Your main responsibilities

  • Understand the functional process and the needs that the system must resolve
  • Work with business and other stakeholders to complete rules, scenarios, exceptions, data, states, and behaviors that are not yet sufficiently defined
  • Lead discovery sessions, follow-up, and the collection of functional requirements
  • Detect gaps, contradictions, risks, and functional decisions that cannot be left in the hands of the development team
  • Convert high-level functional documentation into detailed specifications usable by the technical team
  • Participate in the definition and validation of integrations between systems, collaborating with technical teams in the definition of APIs, data flows, and functional contracts
  • Define and document processes, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain traceability between the original need, the defined requirements, the decisions made, and the expected behavior of the system
  • Collaborate closely with development and architecture teams to ensure that the technical design maintains the functional intent
  • Manage and prioritize backlogs, define the scope of initiatives, and track deliverables
  • Participate in the definition of functional estimates and support the planning of initiatives and developments
  • Resolve functional doubts throughout the entire solution lifecycle
  • Participate in the validation of solutions through functional testing and verification of compliance with acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate communication between business and technology teams, adapting the level of detail according to the audience
  • Analyze complex scenarios with multiple dependencies, priorities, and business constraints

What we are looking for

A proactive person, capable of making their own decisions, with solid experience in functional analysis, requirements engineering, or process definition, possessing the ability to challenge, refine, and question ambiguous requirements, guiding business toward viable solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Previous experience close to development and the ability to determine when a specification is not yet implementable will be valued.
