Education & certifications
- Higher education qualification in: Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedicine or similar.
- Solid knowledge in disciplines such as physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, and genetics.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (pipetting, preparation of reagents, cell/microbial cultures, use of microscopes, etc.).
The role
The Universitat Abat Oliba CEU is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and perform the following duties:
What you'll do
Organization and maintenance of practical teaching laboratories for the basic subjects of the Medicine Degree (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Physiology, Histology)
Professional experience
- Previous experience in teaching or research laboratories.
- Familiarity with supporting academic practical sessions and working with students.
Technical skills
- Preparation and maintenance of laboratory materials and equipment.
- Compliance with biosafety regulations and waste management.
- Ability to resolve basic technical issues.
Personal skills
- Organization and attention to detail.
- Communication skills and ability to interact with students and teaching staff.
- Teamwork and autonomy.
