Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

At Grupo Soledad we are continuing to grow and are looking to strengthen our Industrial Division with an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. We are looking for a versatile, resourceful professional capable of ensuring the proper operation of our production lines and industrial machinery. 

We are looking for a professional with solid hands-on knowledge of mechanics, electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

What will you do on a day-to-day basis? 

Your mission will be to guarantee plant operability through preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery:

• Industrial Mechanics: Repair and replacement of mechanical transmission components (chains, belts, pulleys), bearings, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.

• Electricity: Low-voltage electrical maintenance. Fault detection in electrical panels, replacement of contactors, relays, motor protection breakers, sensors, and motor wiring.

• PLC Reading: Reading and interpreting PLC statuses (inputs/outputs) for rapid machine fault diagnosis (no programming required).

• Hydraulics and Pneumatics: Maintenance and repair of fluid circuits. Replacement of solenoid valves, leak repair, replacement of hoses, seals, cylinders, and inspection of hydraulic power units.

• Preventive: Execution of planned preventive maintenance schedules to avoid production stoppages.

What are we looking for?

• Demonstrable experience as an industrial mechanic, electromechanical technician, or maintenance technician in industrial environments.

• Vocational training (Intermediate or Advanced Level) in Electromechanical Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.

• Practical mastery of Mechanics, Industrial Electricity, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.

• Will be valued positively: Knowledge of reading and interpreting PLCs (Siemens, Omron, etc.) for fault diagnosis (programming is not required, only interpretation to detect faults).

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
