The role
Helsing is an artificial intelligence company for defense. Our mission is to protect our democracies. We aspire to technological leadership so that open societies can continue to make sovereign decisions and control their ethical standards.
As democracies, we believe we have a special responsibility when developing and deploying technologies as powerful as AI. We take that responsibility seriously.
We are an ambitious and committed team of engineers, AI specialists, and program managers in contact with customers. We seek mission-driven people to join our European teams and apply their capabilities to the most complex and high-impact problems. We foster an open and transparent culture that welcomes debate on the use of technology in defense, its benefits, and its ethical implications.
What you'll do
As an Electromechanical Assembly Technician, you will build our robotic systems, from components to the validated unit. You will assemble electromechanical assemblies, manufacture wiring according to specification, modify electronic boards, and perform the first validation with our automated tools. When a system fails, you will diagnose the fault and repair it. You will also shape how we manufacture: you will propose improvements to assembly and validation processes, design new tools, and maintain reliable stock and quality control as production grows. Your work sets the standard for every robot that leaves our lab and reaches those who depend on it.
- Assembly of complete robots and electromechanical assemblies according to specification, taking each unit from components to the validated team
- Manufacturing wiring, modifying electronic boards, and preparing mechanical and electronic validation setups for the engineering teams
- First validation of each robot with our automated tools, and diagnosing and repairing faults so that units are delivered on time
- Proposing improvements to assembly and validation processes, and proposing new tools that reduce manufacturing time and rework
- Managing stock and inventory in our ERP, and performing quality control upon receipt of orders so that production never stops due to lack of material or defective parts
