About the role

Position mission 

Your mission will be to carry out Airworthiness Reviews of aircraft managed by Iberia's CAMO and of those customers who request it, by performing independent documentary and physical inspections, verifying the continued compliance with the airworthiness requirements established in Regulation (EU) 1321/2014 (Part M and Part CAMO), ensuring that aircraft maintain the conditions required for the validity of their Certificate of Airworthiness and the issuance or renewal of the Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC). 

What you'll do

Main duties:

1) Execution of Airworthiness Reviews: 

  • Perform documentary and physical reviews of assigned aircraft in accordance with the procedures established in the CAME. 

  • Verify the aircraft's conformity with the applicable continued airworthiness requirements. 

  • Check compliance with approved maintenance programs, airworthiness directives, repairs, modifications, and other regulatory requirements. 

  • Evaluate the technical condition of the aircraft and the proper management of maintenance records. 

2) Issuance of Reports and Recommendations 

  • Prepare the physical and documentary inspection reports derived from airworthiness reviews. 

  • Issue recommendations for the renewal or issuance of the ARC when the established requirements are met. 

  • Identify discrepancies and follow up on the necessary corrective actions until their resolution. 

3) Document Management 

  • Review the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of continued airworthiness records. 

  • Verify the validity of the aircraft's mandatory technical documentation. 

  • Keep records and evidence associated with the reviews performed up to date. 

4) Technical Coordination 

  • Coordinate with the Engineering, Planning and Control, Maintenance Control, Technical Records, and Maintenance areas to obtain the information needed for the reviews. 

  • Request clarifications or additional evidence when documentary or technical discrepancies are detected. 

  • Collaborate with AESA during supervision processes related to continued airworthiness. 

5) Continuous Improvement 

  • Participate in the improvement of procedures related to airworthiness review. 

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in continued airworthiness management processes. 

  • Contribute to maintaining the CAMO's regulatory compliance and operational safety standards.

Training and experience

Education and experience 

  • Academic education 

  • Aeronautical university degree (Engineering, Technical Engineering, Bachelor's Degree, etc.) 

  • Other training 

  • Knowledge of office software [Office 365 (Power BI is a plus)] 

  • Knowledge of Regulation (EU) 1321/2014 (Part M, Part CAMO, Part 145) 

  • Knowledge of Regulation (EU) 748/2012 (Part 21) 

  • Familiarization course on one of the aircraft in the Iberia fleet (A32X, A330 & A350) 

  • Fuel Tank Safety 

  • EWIS 

  • Safety Management System (SMS) 

  • ETOPS 

  • Experience 

  • At least 5 years of experience in tasks related to continued airworthiness and/or supervision of such tasks, of which at least 2 years must be recent. 

  • Demonstrable experience in airworthiness management or aeronautical maintenance.
