Job position: Production operator

Responsibilities: Washing and processing hotel linen, hospital linen and industrial uniforms

• Receive dirty laundry and maintain order for each customer separately.
• Sort dirty laundry into families according to each client's specifications.
• Load and unload washing machines and washing tunnels, as well as program them according to the type of laundry and washing program.
• Resolve minor jams in the soiled area equipment (press, overhead conveyor).
• Access the inside of the tunnel or conveyor area if required to resolve a jam
• Feed garments into the ironing machines, either automatically or manually.
• Manually fold items that cannot be folded with the aid of equipment.
• Segregate dirty, poorly ironed, or damaged laundry from acceptable laundry according to procedure.
• Transport laundry batches through the clean area using carts or trolleys for this task.
• Load and unload dryers and pick-up points, as well as operate and program them.
• Select the appropriate ironing and folding programs on each machine. Participate in rejection and customer changeover tasks.
• Prepare carts of clean laundry, paying special attention to the arrangement of bundles within the cart. Laundry will be placed in the cart according to the established procedure, and any errors will be corrected during the process.
• Arrange and verify that the parking order of the finished carts complies with the established schedule.
• Prepare orders as assigned by your supervisor.
• Carry out loading orders and/or delivery note drafts.
• Verify the completion of customers included in a delivery route.
• Control the quality of the final product. Ordered bundles and carts with closed covers.
• Weigh clean laundry and closed carts.
• Complete any records that may be necessary to carry out your tasks.
• Conduct inventories and control of the laundry stock in use.
• Operations on plant equipment
• Turn on and off laundry, bedside, or computer equipment.
• Operate laundry equipment manually or to resolve minor breakdowns.

• Organized and methodical person
• Problem-solving ability
• With visual and manual dexterity (labels have their own font size and number)
• No difficulties loading and unloading light weights (picking up and placing boxes on shelves) and being able to stand for 8 hours
• Energetic, dynamic personality with motivation for new challenges
• Ability to work in a team
