About the role

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is seeking to hire an Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D Department of the Automation Devices (AD) Business Unit in Zamudio, Bizkaia.

Mission: To take responsibility for the development and implementation of embedded software for control and monitoring systems.

What you'll do

  • Develop and program embedded applications for control and monitoring, including communication interfaces, fieldbus management, inputs/outputs, and digital signal processing.
  • Execute tests and validations of the developed embedded software to ensure its proper functioning and quality.
  • Collaborate on certification and homologation processes for embedded systems.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to software and development processes.
  • Detect, analyze, and resolve issues proactively within the embedded software area.

  • Previous experience in the design and development of high-tech products within product development departments.
  • Experience in functional safety projects (EN 50128, EN 50716, EN 61508).

  • Experience in firmware development for microcontrollers and microprocessors (ARM, x86, RISC-V) in real-time applications (C/C++, asm...).
  • Experience with operating systems for embedded systems (Linux, WinCE,...).
  • Industrial communications (Ethernet, CAN, RS485, TCN, TRDP...).
  • Digital signal processing, with experience in Matlab/Simulink valued.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity applied to embedded systems.
