The role

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is seeking to hire an Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D Department of the Automation Devices (AD) Business Unit in Zamudio, Bizkaia.

Mission: To take responsibility for the development and implementation of embedded software for control and monitoring systems.

What you'll do

Develop and program embedded applications for control and monitoring, including communication interfaces, fieldbus management, inputs/outputs, and digital signal processing.
Execute tests and validations of the developed embedded software to ensure its proper functioning and quality.
Collaborate on certification and homologation processes for embedded systems.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to software and development processes.
Detect, analyze, and resolve issues proactively within the embedded software area.

Requirements

Education: Degree in Engineering or Master's degree specializing in Electronics, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems, or similar.
Experience in firmware development for microcontrollers and microprocessors (ARM, x86, RISC-V) in real-time applications (C/C++, asm...).
Experience with operating systems for embedded systems (Linux, WinCE,...).
Industrial communications (Ethernet, CAN, RS485, TCN, TRDP...).
Digital signal processing, with experience in Matlab/Simulink valued.
Knowledge of cybersecurity applied to embedded systems.
