QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a versatile QA Automation Engineer focused on excellence to join our agile development teams, leading the quality strategy for a mobile app connected to vehicles. Your mission will be to balance manual validation of new features with the creation of robust automation frameworks, in a unique context: the app is not only validated on mobile devices, but also through its direct interaction with the real vehicle and test benches (test racks).

As a quality pillar, you will work in a continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment, coordinating four interconnected flows — vehicle, test rack, mobile, and backend — and ensuring that each product increment delivers real value and stability to the end user.

• Multi-Environment Strategy: Design and execute comprehensive test plans (manual, integration, regression, and system) for the mobile app across different smartphones, operating systems (iOS/Android), and versions.
• Vehicle and Test Rack Testing: Perform operational validations directly in the vehicle (in-car testing) and on test benches (test racks) at the corresponding facilities.
• Regression Automation: Drive the progressive transition toward automated test suites, optimizing regression times and ensuring continuous software quality.
• Defect Management: Document, log, and prioritize issues using Jira and corporate bug tracking tools, collaborating with development for resolution.
• Strategic Alignment: Estimate testing time and effort, and regularly report on coverage metrics and compliance with quality standards.
• Quality Culture: Promote good testing practices within the team, driving early detection of defects.

Tech Stack and Technical Experience:

• Mobile Automation: Knowledge of Appium (iOS/Android) or native/hybrid frameworks such as Detox or Maestro. Familiarity with testing on real devices and simulators.
• API/Backend Testing: Proficiency in Postman, Newman, RestAssured, or Karate DSL.
• Frameworks and Methodologies: Practical use of Cucumber and BDD approaches.
• Code and Data Management: Fluent handling of Git (Gitflow) and the ability to query/verify data in SQL repositories.
• Observability: Integration with monitoring systems (Datadog, Grafana, or equivalent) for anomaly diagnosis.
• Test Management (ALM): Experience with Jira and associated bug tracking tools.
• DevOps Ecosystem: Continuous integration applied to QA (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions).
• Agile Methodologies.
• Experience working under Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
• Active participation in planning, refinement, and estimation sessions.
• Validation of Acceptance Criteria to ensure requirements are testable from the start.

Buscamos un/a QA Automation Engineer versátil y orientado a la excelencia para unirse a nuestros equipos de desarrollo ágil, liderando la estrategia de calidad de una app móvil conectada a vehículo. Tu misión será equilibrar la validación manual de nuevas funcionalidades con la creación de frameworks de automatización robustos, en un contexto singular: la app no solo se valida en dispositivos móviles, sino también en su interacción directa con el vehículo real y con bancadas de prueba (test racks).

Como pilar de calidad, trabajarás en un entorno de entrega continua (CI/CD), coordinando cuatro flujos interconectados —vehículo, test rack, móvil y backend— y asegurando que cada incremento de producto aporte valor real y estabilidad al usuario final.

• Estrategia Multi-Entorno: Diseñar y ejecutar planes de prueba integrales (manuales, integración, funcionales, regresión y sistema) para la app móvil en distintos smartphones, sistemas operativos (iOS/Android) y versiones.
• Pruebas en Vehículo y Test Racks: Realizar validaciones operativas directamente en vehículo (In-Car Testing) y en bancadas de prueba (test racks) en las instalaciones correspondientes.
• Automatización de Regresión: Impulsar de forma progresiva la transición hacia la automatización de suites de prueba, optimizando tiempos de regresión y asegurando la calidad continua del software.
• Gestión de Defectos: Documentar, registrar y priorizar incidencias mediante Jira y herramientas corporativas de bug tracking, colaborando con desarrollo para su resolución.
• Alineación Estratégica: Estimar tiempos y esfuerzos de testeo, e informar periódicamente sobre métricas de cobertura y cumplimiento de estándares de calidad.
• Cultura de Calidad: Promover buenas prácticas de testing dentro del equipo, impulsando la detección temprana de errores.

Stack Tecnológico y Experiencia Técnica:

• Automatización Mobile: Conocimientos en Appium (iOS/Android) o frameworks nativos/híbridos como Detox o Maestro. Familiaridad con el testing en dispositivos reales y simuladores.
• Pruebas de API/Backend: Dominio de Postman, Newman, RestAssured o Karate DSL.
• Frameworks y Metodologías: Uso práctico de Cucumber y enfoques BDD.
