Required / Technical experience

• Solid experience administering relational and NoSQL databases.

• Advanced knowledge in: PostgreSQL. MySQL. SQL Server, TimescaleDB, Firestore / Firebase are valued.

• Proficiency in SQL and query optimization.

• Experience developing stored procedures, triggers, and database objects.

• Experience in data migrations and platform updates.

Cloud & DevOps:

• Experience working with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Automation through Python and Bash.

Personal skills

• Analytical capacity and problem-solving orientation. Autonomy and proactivity.

• Ability to document processes and define technical standards. Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary areas.

We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join an innovative technology environment, participating in the administration, evolution and optimization of data platforms that are critical to the business.

The selected person will work on modern architectures based on cloud environments, relational and NoSQL technologies, process automation, and cloud-native deployments, collaborating closely with Development, DevOps, Cloud, and Architecture teams.

What will you do?

Administration and management of databases

• Creation, configuration, and maintenance of database environments.

• Administration of PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, TimescaleDB, and Firestore platforms.

• Management of backups, recovery, and service continuity.

• Monitoring and incident resolution.

Security and governance

• Management of users, roles, and permissions.

• Definition and application of security policies.

• Implementation of data governance best practices.

Optimization and performance

• Analysis and optimization of complex SQL queries.

• Identification and resolution of bottlenecks.

• Monitoring and continuous improvement of database performance.

Development and automation

• Design and development of stored procedures, triggers, and materialized views.

• Automation of operational tasks using Python and Bash.

• Schema lifecycle management using Alembic.

Cloud and modern platforms

• Administration of database services in AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

• Deployment and operation of containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Participation in technological modernization and migration projects.

Migrations and technological evolution

• Data migration between different platforms and technologies.

• Design of migration strategies and integrity validation.

• Participation in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
