You will be a key figure in connecting LALIGA's expertise with the project's needs, generating impact through initiatives such as:

  • Leading the planning and execution of the refereeing development strategy within the international project.
  • Designing and implementing programs aimed at strengthening refereeing structures and promoting best practices in professional refereeing.
  • Coordinating joint work between LALIGA, local sports institutions, and the various bodies involved, fostering smooth and effective collaboration.
  • Organizing training activities, seminars, workshops, and technical sessions for referees, instructors, and refereeing officials.
  • Coordinating the participation and work of experts deployed from Spain, ensuring a high-value transfer of knowledge.
  • Carrying out comprehensive project monitoring, identifying opportunities for improvement, anticipating risks, and ensuring compliance with established objectives.
  • Preparing executive reports, technical documentation, and presentations for the project's various stakeholders.
  • Collaborating closely with other project leads to ensure implementation is aligned with the overall strategy for professionalizing the competition.
  • Representing the refereeing vertical with institutions and organizations when necessary, strengthening institutional relations and coordination among all parties involved.
  • Ensuring compliance with the technical, methodological, and organizational standards defined by LALIGA.

Essential requirements

We would like to find a person who brings:

  • University degree.
  • Consolidated experience in project management, program coordination, or sports management.
  • Previous experience as a football referee, preferably in competitions at the national level.
  • Knowledge of how the Spanish football refereeing system operates and is organized.
  • The ability to lead complex projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders in highly demanding environments.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and monitoring skills.
  • Experience in preparing reports, technical documentation, and executive presentations.
  • A high level of English (minimum B2, with C1 especially valued).
  • Availability to reside in the Middle East for the duration of the project.

  • Experience in sports federations, professional leagues, or refereeing committees.
  • Participation in international projects or projects carried out in multicultural environments.
  • Postgraduate education in Sports Management, Project Management, or related disciplines.

  • Knowledge of Arabic.
