Requirements
What we're looking for
💪 Your skills:
experience managing a design team of 15+ people in a structure with several directions/Team Leads (two-tier hierarchy);
experience working specifically with performance creatives for media buying/affiliate/performance marketing (banners, video ads, landing pages) — an understanding of the specifics, not just brand design;
understanding the specifics of different production formats: static graphics, full motion/video, ASO creatives for the App Store, product landing pages/pre-landers — and the ability to manage teams for each of them;
understanding of media buying metrics (CTR, CPA, CR, ROI) and how design decisions affect them;
experience building and standardizing production processes for high volume (dozens to hundreds of creatives per week), including the "brief → prioritization → allocation → production → review → delivery" flow;
full-cycle people management experience: hiring, onboarding, regular performance evaluation, IDP, developing Team Leads into a strong management layer;
experience participating in forming team structure — defining roles, competencies, and resource planning for the growth of the function;
ability to speak the language of business with C-level — translating design work into business results;
strategic thinking — the ability not only to manage current production but also to form a vision for the development of the design function for 6-12+ months;
experience in gambling/betting, fintech, or other high-volume performance verticals.
Nice to have
🤞 Desirable, but not critical:
experience working with ASO creatives and understanding App Store/Google Play requirements for visual materials;
familiarity with tracking and media buying tools (Keitaro, Voluum, etc.) at the level of understanding the funnel;
experience implementing AI tools in creative production to accelerate the team's work;
building a Design System or a template library from scratch.

The role
Makeberry is a full-cycle marketing agency that helps brands grow, scale, and stand out in a competitive market.
We combine strategy, analytics, creativity, and technology to create campaigns that are trusted. No cookie-cutter solutions or empty promises—only powerful marketing that delivers real, measurable business results.
Makeberry is currently growing actively, so we are looking for a Head of Design in the Design Human-Centered department. Perhaps you are the one who can strengthen our team 😉
What you'll do
✅ Your future tasks:
manage four directions of the design function (Visual Graphic & Motion Design, Motion Creators Design, Visual Graphic & Motion App Design, Product Design);
set goals, evaluate results, and develop employees at all levels of the team—regular feedback and individual development plans (IDP);
hire and develop Team Leads, building a strong management layer;
allocate priorities and team workload between directions according to business tasks and people's competencies;
analyze processes, find bottlenecks, and look for ways to increase the productivity of the design team;
standardize and optimize creative production; control deadlines, quality, and the volume of results;
build a transparent task workflow: brief → prioritization → allocation → production → review → delivery of results;
implement A/B/n testing of creatives together with buying teams, analyzing the impact of formats and styles on CTR and conversion;
coordinate Design work with Marketing, Media Buying, Product, and other related teams;
report to C-level on the performance of the function, the impact of design on performance metrics, problems, and resource needs;
plan resources and the development strategy of the design function for 6-12+ months, aligning it with the company's business strategy;
form the team structure, roles, and competencies; search for, hire, and onboard new designers and heads of directions;
implement automation, AI, templates, libraries, and Design Systems to accelerate production;
be responsible for the direction's budget (tools, stock resources, freelancers/outsource) and defend resources and priorities at the C-level;
make decisions under uncertainty and bear responsibility for them before the business;
follow trends in advertising creatives (platform formats, banner networks, native advertising) and adapt the team's approaches.
