WHAT DOES AN IMPORT PROCESS & AUTOMATION MANAGER DO AT MANGO?

Within the Import Department, your role as Manager will be to drive the technological transformation that enables the automation of the import documentary flow, guaranteeing the correct management, validation, quality, and traceability of import documentation.

Likewise, you will lead the reporting and transversal communication of inbound flows to other departments and key stakeholders, providing visibility on operations, anticipating incidents, and facilitating alignment and decision-making.

Your main duties will be:

• Lead, develop, and support the team, ensuring a high level of performance and specialization.
• Define objectives, KPIs, and monitoring routines to guarantee operational compliance and continuous improvement.
• Drive a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and Compliance.
• Lead the design and implementation of automated documentary validation flows, identifying which controls are susceptible to being executed by RPA and which require AI capabilities.
• Define, together with IT, the architecture of the automated flows and the scaling criteria.
• Collaborate with IT in the knowledge, search, configuration, and testing of the implemented solutions.
• Monitor technological and regulatory trends that may affect automated flows (REX, ICS2,..) and anticipate the impact on validation rules.
• Apply LEAN methodology for the standardization and optimization of the team's processes.
• Lead the reporting and transversal communication with the main stakeholders (Purchasing, Sourcing, Distribution, Logistics Departments...) ensuring visibility on the status of inbound flows and legislative or logistical developments that may affect them.
• Preparation and publication of operational KPIs.
• Define the typology of documents to be requested from suppliers according to the country of origin, Incoterm, and transport method (certificates of origin, FCRs, REX, ATR, EUR-1, BLs,...) and maintain the rules/logics in the corporate systems.
• Ensure the quality of Packing Lists created by suppliers so that they maintain consistency with the rest of the transport/Customs documentation (CLPs, transport documents, Entry Summary Declaration...)
• Guarantee that the documentation necessary for importation is available before the arrival of the goods, requesting it from suppliers when it is not ready, validating it, and attending to incidents that may affect the inbound flow.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs and commercial regulations in the documents provided by suppliers, ensuring that tariff preference criteria are met.
• Establish quality controls and validations prior to the arrival of the goods to minimize incidents and operational risks.
• Coordinate the resolution of documentary incidents with suppliers, forwarders, and internal teams.
• Maintenance of the physical and digital documentary archive, guaranteeing traceability and accessibility for internal and external audits.
• Align vendor policies with the Sourcing and Purchasing departments.
