Bid Engineer

• Education: Degree or Master's in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar).
• Experience: Demonstrable experience in RFQ management, conceptual design of industrial/automotive solutions, and costing of technical bids.
• Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality standards, as well as Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
• Competencies: Analytical capacity, global project vision, good communication skills, and attention to detail.
• The position requires real experience in industrial and manufacturing environments. It is especially important that the person knows production processes, machinery, and manufacturing means, as they will be responsible for performing and/or coordinating the quotation of parts, machinery, and industrial solutions.

We are looking for a technical profile specialized in the preparation, conceptualization, and costing of bids for automation, machinery, and component manufacturing projects.

🎯 Your mission and responsibilities:

• Comprehensive bid management (RFQ): Lead the preparation of technical and economic proposals, analyzing customer requests (RFQ) and defining the global scope of the project.
• Design and technical solutions: Conceptualize solutions for machinery, automation, robotics, and industrial systems. Define preliminary architectures (mechanical, automation, control) and select appropriate suppliers and technologies.
• Cost estimation and planning: Develop detailed costs (engineering, materials, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning) and define the planning and main project milestones.
• Multidisciplinary coordination: Work hand in hand with the Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Software, Purchasing, and Project Management departments to consolidate coherent proposals.
• Technical liaison with customers: Act as the technical contact during the RFQ phase, presenting solutions, clarifying doubts, and making the necessary adjustments until the bid is closed.
• Risk and competitiveness analysis: Identify technical and economic risks, optimizing the proposal to maximize viability and competitiveness while respecting quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Guarantee compliance with international and customer regulations (IATF 16949, ISO 9001), ensuring documentary traceability and mitigating deviations between the bid and future execution.
