Your main objective will be to guarantee the correct supply of raw materials and materials necessary for the operation of the plant, ensuring the best purchasing conditions in terms of price, service, and delivery time.
You will be responsible for managing the purchasing cycle, from searching and negotiating with suppliers to the receipt of materials, stock control, and incident follow-up.
What you'll do
The selected person will have a key role in supplier management, negotiation of conditions, procurement, stock control, and warehouse management, working with tools such as SAP and Coupa and in coordination with different areas of the organization.
- Request and analyze offers for raw materials and materials, negotiating prices, delivery times, and transport conditions.
- Manage the purchasing cycle, from placing and following up on orders to reviewing invoices and documentation.
- Manage the receipt, location, and control of materials in the warehouse, ensuring correct stock and inventory control.
- Search for and develop new suppliers, guaranteeing competitive alternatives suitable for the plant's needs.
- Follow up on orders and manage claims regarding deliveries, materials, and outstanding invoices.
- Manage CAPEX, pallet rental, and associated purchasing processes.
- Work with SAP and Coupa, guaranteeing the correct registration and follow-up of operations.
- Prepare reporting for Global and guarantee compliance with the established Governance for the Purchasing area.
- Act as backup for the paper procurer when necessary.
- Guarantee compliance with OHS, safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental requirements associated with purchasing.
What do we need from you?
- Academic training: University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, or related vocational training. Postgraduate training will be valued.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position within the industrial sector.
- Purchasing and negotiation: Experience in purchasing management, negotiation with suppliers, searching for new suppliers, order follow-up, and cost control.
- Systems: High level of SAP and Microsoft Office. Experience with Coupa will be valued.
- Languages: B2/C1 English level, essential to operate in a multinational environment and maintain communication with Global.
- Negotiation and influence skills: High capacity to negotiate, influence, and establish solid relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
- Analytical capacity: Analytical and results-oriented profile, with the ability to interpret information and make decisions.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, establish priorities, and act with agility in changing environments.
- Leadership: Ability to collaborate and influence different stakeholders within the organization.
