The role

At Marlex we are looking for a proactive and responsible person for a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN position for an important company in the CHEMICAL sector.

What you'll do

· Sample preparation: Reception, identification, and preparation of raw material, in-process, and finished product samples for analysis.

· Carrying out tests and analyses: Perform physical and chemical tests according to established protocols, using the necessary laboratory equipment.

· Recording of results: Document and record analysis results in computer systems, Excel tables, SAP, or printed formats, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.

· Equipment maintenance: Maintain, calibrate, and verify the proper functioning of laboratory equipment, reporting any anomalies or need for repair.

· Store all incoming and outgoing samples in the corresponding room.

· Control the reception and shipment of external samples.

· Monitoring of the laboratory planning.

· Review weekly the stock of reagents used during analysis tasks and communicate when the purchase of new ones is necessary.

· Compliance with safety and quality standards: Ensure compliance with occupational safety, hygiene, and environmental protection regulations, as well as the quality procedures established by the company. Correctly use the provided protective equipment and means.

Using machines, apparatus, tools, and hazardous substances appropriately, according to their nature and foreseeable risks.
